What’s best to get cat pee odour out of clothing?

Cat peed on the laundry. She was stressed as we had (small, cat friendly) dogs visiting.
Two washes and the clothes still smell - what’s best to use?
thanks!

Look up using Bicarb and vinegar. I have had to use it when my cat peed on the carpet due to cystitis. It should work on the clothes but not sure of quantities.

Get an enzyme cleaner, some supermarkets sell it and Pets at Home. We had the same problem and only that helped get rid of it!

Simple Solutions cat enzyme stuff

The enzymes in bio powder should sort this, they tend to be more effective at low temps so try a 30° wash with bio powder.

I’ve had great success with the following:

  1. Soak in cold water and liberal amounts of bicarb; rinse
  2. Soak in cold water and liberal amounts of white vinegar
  3. Wash as normal
  4. Dry in the sun (if possible, but even without that, steps 1-3 are usually enough to get the smell fully out)

You need to use a pet enzyme spray - simple solution is really good. Really soak the clothes in it, then wash with biological washing powder on a low-ish temperature.
