One of my 8 year old boys has this week been diagnosed with diabetes. He has been losing g condition over the last few months and we were getting very concerned about him. He has also been weeing on our front door mat instead of the litter tray, but will still poo in the litter tray.
He is now on twice daily insulin injections and we are hoping that the dosage will be sufficient to help him. Regular check ups over the next few weeks and learning how to do his blood sugars next week.
Any tips on making his life more comfortable for him, plus getting him to stop weeing on the mat?
