Our almost 1yo boy cat is leaving frequent puddles behind him - mostly clear fluid but a bit mucous like. It’s grim! He has felt wet around the bottom and tail area and is leaving damp patches around the house. A quick google suggests anal secretions! He is neutered and vaccines up to date etc.
This seems to have come on since we went away last week and left him in the care of our nanny, and cat sitter popping in. His diet hasn’t changed, but the litter tray was a bit gross when we got back to it (only away for 5 days).
I will get him to the vet but does anyone have experience of this and is there anything I can do to control it/help him at home?
