Best thing to remove cat hair from fabric

My lovely little white cat sheds normally but given it's white and I'm partial to dark fabrics and furnishings it's obvious everywhere.
It's on clothes, sofas, curtains etc. The worst is I have a black sofa cover with super stretchy fabric which seems to trap the hair. I hoovered it for an hour and it was still hairy (big fight with stretchy fabric and the hoover trying to hoover it up). Fleece comes up a second as the ends of the hair get caught.
What things have you found best to remove hair.

I have lint rollers which don't pick up enough of clothes - a clothes brush first tends to help.
I have a metal thing which is ok on carpet and the one upholstered chair.
I have a plastic thing which picks up hair in a compartment but I can't use it on clothes or curtains.
I have seen lint brushes with a plastic container -do these work?

I was going to say lint roller. Have you tried the ikea ones?

Rubber gloves...

Sellotape wrapped around your hand works well but tbh I pick my fabrics/throws etc v carefully now purely on how well they don’t trap cat fur. I always keep throws over sofa and bed that can be taken off when visitors come. I find the sort of soft fur ones wash well and don’t hold the cat hair.

A slightly damp rubber glove

a) rubber gloves
b) lower standards

Lakeland Sticky mitts used to be brilliant, unfortunately they stopped making them. I was gutted!

We got the Dyson Animal. I have a fabric lint brush, and I put washable/brush able cotton throws on their favourite spots. Our computer chairs have stretchy black fabric and the cat hair never removes completely.

We use one of these with our long haired dcat. Great on fleece, sofas and clothes. The hair sort of sticks to it with static and a godsend for the current shedding!

Silicone upholstery brush

Another vote for rubber gloves
