everything says to wash bedding at 60,what's the best to with things where the max wash is 40

You also need a very good flea spray for the home, - Indorex and flea treatment from the Vet or an online vet, the stuff from shops is pretty rubbish.

I just sprayed everything in sight with Indorex. You need about a can per room to get everywhere.

Cat also needs a prescription flea treatment, fleas are often resistant to anything else.
