To get one kitten or two?

I would like experiences on having one or two cats please?
Pros and cons but mainly if having two affects how close and affectionate they are with you as they have each other to go off and roam around outside with etc.

We recently lost our beloved cat and have found a beautiful girl Kitten who we collect in a few weeks.
She has a lovely little brother still available in the litter (the other have been reserved)
And now I am seriously debating whether to get him too 😍
What do you think?
One is enough?
Two will be cute as they are siblings and will have each other?
Will having two mean they are less cuddly and affectionate with us as they will have each other to keep company and maybe go off outside together or will they still be independent and have their own ways and personalities?
Any input or expenses greatly appreciated ☺️
Thanks! 🙏🏼

Just wanted to come back and update as I can't imagine not getting two kittens 🥰
I am so so glad I got them both they are the cutest and most loving sisters it's so lovely to see.
They adore each other and it's been so lovely for us as a family to enjoy two kittens with so much love to give it's a joy after losing our cat after Christmas and brought so much happiness to the house.
Thanks for all your advice ☺️

They are adorable! They also look like mischief!

Fantastic news you got them both

i've recently got 2 sisters from cats protection. I do separate food and water for them but one cat litter as they refused to use the 2 I set up. They are currently in the hooligan stage with me and each other

one thing I will say is they are likely to get jealous of the time each one spends with you. That can be managed though

What beautifu; cats and gorgeous markings .

Our two are bro/sis we got them at 1 yo so (conveniently) missed The Kitten Year.
They don't tend to sit together unless they're eating .
They will have a tiny swipe at each other if whoever is doing food is slow .
They do like their own trays , our boy is very fastidious and always buries . She is a messy little urchin who throws a load of litter out and am uncovered turd proudly in the tray .

But we love them Grin
