my cat ran out the door when I got home, fireworks going off every where

Cat ran out the front door when I got home from work, he's very nervy and I can't find him anywhere which isn't like him. Have called him but he hasn't appeared.

Has he come back yet? He's probably hiding close by. Go out with a torch and see if it reflects in his eyes.

My dd hadn't had her 2 dkittens more than a couple of months when 1 got out in Halloween... He was back next morning. Not sure how he found his way back.

It happened to mine yesterday. On checking my cctv he was sitting on the fence watching my DP pulling up in his car and then sat by the back door to go inside. My DP took so long faffing with stuff in his car the cat ran off scared obviously by the noise of fireworks. I walked around his stomping ground looking for him but half an hour after the display 2 miles away finished he was back home. He didn't want to go out today and I don't think he'll go out much for a while.

Happened to me last night at 9.40. Thought they’d all finished & she ran out then the bangs started but never came. I had to keep opening the door, calling her shaking dreamies bag & she eventually returned at 11.15 looking very stressed & scared. I hope your cat returns soon.

Eventually reappeared, neighbour spotted him hiding under a van. I had been round the car park earlier but he wasn't there then. Ran Straight into the house when I called him, obviously frightened.
