As title says really, Tasha has started bringing in live mice and losing them in the house (alongside lots of dead birds) so need to see if a bell is going to help keep our house mouse-free.

Ive avoided collars so far as i dont really think they are safe, so looking for recommendations for the safest type of collar and bell as a compromise to be not dangerous for her, but will keep our house a bit emptier.

If the cat is a prolific hunter, then they're probably in and out of all sorts of bushes, trees etc, as well as being a fast mover. I wouldn't get a collar in those circumstances.

Don't put a bell on her. Can you imagine how annoying it is to have a noise like that every time you move? They don't help with hunting anyway.

Personally I would never use a collar on a cat - even the "safe" ones can sometimes catch and the outcome is often fatal.

Nope. It's not worth the risk.

If you can identify a pattern to her hunting keep her in at those times and do some play/enrichment stuff.
