Calling all cats and their overworked slaves - join us as we grudgingly accept that every day is National Cat Day as far as our moggies are concerned.

Not planned at all! A happy mistake I guess but unfortunately mum totally rejected her so I got her at 8 weeks. She was the only kitten. She is extremely affectionate. I've had rescue cats all my life but never one so loving. She particularly loves children. She's very, very cuddly. Loves at chat. Loves being picked up and carried about. Spends most of the night either lying on top of me or nose to nose with me. She purrs as soon as I look at her. The only annoying habit she has is sitting on top of my extractor fan in the kitchen!

I never realised that hole at the back was a charging point. Every day's a school day. Mind you, in my young day, cats didn't need charging, IIRC. You young things, with your technological innovations!!

I don't think it's the weight, so much as all of it being concentrated on very pointy little feet! Basic physics tells us that a distributed force has much less impact than the same force concentrated on a small area, and cat's feet are VERY small.

I hate not being able to get my ADHD meds. Constantly tired, but also waking up at silly o'clock in the mornings as you can tell from the time of this post. Been trying to get back to sleep for well over an hour, and given up due to the lure of T E A.

Never joined one of these threads before but two male cats here aged 4 and believe it or not they are from the same litter. First is Frasier in all his magnificence and second is Niles a few christmases ago guarding the Christmas dinner 🙈

Yes! @Papergirl1968 and @Allergictoironing Apparently the game is still fun so I had another night of being jumped on. Poor Fred was being a good boy, happily curled up on the pillow next to me. He'd occasionally lift his head to look shocked at Toad's bad behaviour 😁 I can't shut them out as I'd have meowing and scratching at the door so I just have to hope the evil black fiend gets bored of this game soon!

Non cat lovers just wouldn't get it @Supersimkin2 We have our sleep disturbed by the furry overlords but accept it as the cost of being tolerated by the cats we live with.

As I was trying to fall asleep last night my furry precious started combing my hair with her claws. So sweet of her to ensure I look suitably groomed, even at night.

Tried everywhere a couple of weeks ago. Then GP decided to play silly buggers and have refused to accept a shared care agreement, then the consultancy got it wrong and had me down as a private patient (£25 for the prescription, then another £80-100 for the meds every month), so going to have to wait until that all gets sorted out anyway.

Leaving me exhausted, concentrating at work takes sooo much more mental effort without the meds. Caffeine can help a bit, but don't dare do ProPlus or coffee after around 2pm or even less sleep. And guess when one of my 3 ultra busy months at work starts tomorrow (November, February and May)?
