Is it normal for a cat to stink up a room?

Hi everyone
New female adult cat spayed was adopted recently and she's kept in one room to get her used to the place. The room smells like a wet dog. I did checked and cleaned urine puddle. The stinch hits you when you open the door. We had cats before and never smelt this. It's oily, musty like damp clothes and ammonia.
She's got a vet appointment later for a new cat check up etc but I'm just wondering if someone has an idea what it might be sooner.
Is the smell a sign of distress? Infection?
When I open the top window (only a tiny bit so she doesn't runaway) the smell reduces but doesn't go away.

Sounds like she might have a stress UTI. Mention it to the vet. My cat always smells a bit odd when he's not well .
