Best cat flap to minimise draughts/water ingress

As the title suggests. We would need to install the cat flap on a wooden door which gets the full force of bad weather (driving rain against door, room is already draughty in winter).

Ideally it would be a microchip cat flap as we are in a heavily cat populated area, but we will make it work if it isn’t. My main priority is one that doesn’t ship in water and leave me shivering at my desk! And hopefully not too £££ as we will be moving next year.

Would really appreciate recommendations. TIA

Hi I have had both types of cat flap.An ordinary magnetic one, open to all cats. That was draughty for some reason.
Then we moved to the top of a very steep hill, it's also the highest point in our city, so the weather is rough in winter.
We recently bought a Sureflap cat flap. It's very good.On the windiest of days I can feel a slight draught, but nothing much.Never had any rain come in at all.
Hope you find a suitable one.If you do go with Sureflap, their customer service is brilliant.

Thanks @Clarich007 - we’d looked at the Sureflap microchip one but read some complaints about gapping/draughts (perhaps down to installation) so it’s good to hear a positive account!

Caulking or transparent silicone sealant around the edges works brilliantly
