Hi

Very recently adopted a cat. We have been told it has been eating sheba and to continue feeding it that. Of course we bulk bought that.

But it stinks! The wet food itself stinks, and the cats breath and poop REEKS the same! It's vile. As its breath smells of that, it's fur smells the same! It's just so bad.

I've has cats for years - albeit not a good while - and never fed them Sheba or experienced a bad smelly cat before.

Please can someone recommend a good value, healthy food that makes them not stink.

We used to use Felix.

Thanks

My newly fostered cat is also on Sheba and omg the smell. Try webox natural. Still not great but a huge improvement on Sheba.

Katkin. Not the cheapest but litter box is honestly completely odourless, even the poop!

I buy Encore cat food, not cheap though. It's only complementary though so needs a complete food too.Untamed is good.Seriously good Bistro from Pets at Home.

Mine are on Sheba and they don't smell at all.

You need to find a food that suits your cat - different cats will suit different foods so it's just a case of trial and error until you find what suits.

Just be careful when you swap foods as if you do it too quickly, they could end up with upset stomachs.

I've got a big box of sachets of Sheba ready to go to the rescue as I can't face using it as it stinks.

Webbox is ok. I mainly give dry, Scrumbles.
