How to look after an outdoors/farm cat after neutering?

I need to book in our new boy to get neutered, & wondering what sort of post-op care I need to be planning for. Our farm cats before have always come from the rescue neutered, but he was a wee dot of a kitten when we got him. Keeping him indoors isn't going to be realistic, he'd be very distressed. Wondering about one of those kitty post op jumper type things - is that likely to be helpful?

My boy didn’t even have sutures. It’s a tiny snip they pull it all out through. No after care needed at all. I was very surprised.

I've never done anything for any male cats post-op. I would just leave him to it.

Thanks both, that's very reassuring. I've only had female cats from kittens / dealt with spaying before, and obviously that's a bit more substantial as an op.

My cat was fine after neutering I asked the vet the same question.I have always had females before.
She smiled and said he probably wouldn't even notice.
No stitches as the incisions are tiny and just heal up.No cone of shame or body suit.

I've had four males neutered over the years and our kitten is due to go in at the end of the month.

If you don't know they'd had surgery you wouldn't have been able to tell.
