My Persian girl is 62 days today. We came back from holiday early yesterday (we had a familiar cat sitter)and she gave birth to 3 babies, each an hour apart yesterday afternoon.
She was scanned at 35 days and is having 5 and I can feel 2 more inside.
Shes feeding the babies and more affection and needy than usual. Eating and drinking well.
She is just starting to scratch a little and hoping final two on way. Incidentally the scan said two dating 2 days later than others so dual mating, (I have a Persian boy and planned)
I will keep you posted but would love to hear anyone’s experience of this.
Unless she becomes distressed I’m not taking to vets as I want it to happen naturally. I know a dose of oxytocin can lead to c sections and dead kittens listening to others experience though of course I will seek medical intervention if she becomes distressed. At the moment she is one very proud mama!
