And gave the cat some garlic chicken !! He had about a small handful I'd say. The garlic was on the skin of the chicken which he didn't have any of, will it be okay ?

I think it'll be fine, my cat weirdly loves pasta and will sometimes polish off leftovers if she gets to them before I can stop her - usually contain onions/garlic. Absolutely not ideal and I wouldn't encourage it, but she's also been fine when it's happened by accident. Just keep an eye on him to check for vomiting etc.

Mine regularly stole garlic bread remains. Loved it. And chocolate if we weren’t quick. Didn’t seem to realise it was harmful. Wasn’t even sick. Perhaps breeds are more sensitive than others?

I had no clue, dh said as he was eating it 'can they eat garlic' then google shit me up! Hopefully he'll be okay... he's eating his cat food atm

He will be absolutely fine. Garlic is only toxic in large quantities . You can buy garlic tablets for cats and dogs . A little is actually good for their skin.

My cat did the same, he just had a bit of a belly ache and the runs the next day. Please try not to worry.

HopelessEstateAgents · 13/07/2023 19:14

Gosh mine eat garlic all the time! He'll be fine

Windercar · 13/07/2023 19:17

I cook chicken in a garlicky creamy sauce for the children and my cat loves it. I give him leftovers. I do my best to remove all visible lumps 9f garlic so I hope he's not eating any. However, it's definitely infused with garlic.

My cat loves garlic bread. Obviously he doesn't get lots of it, but the occasional mouthful hasn't done him any harm. He's 11 today. Grin Might give him a bit as a birthday treat.

I've got to keep my cat away from my butter chicken. The first time he was having a lovely slurp of the remainder of the sauce out of the pan and he can't resist a sly lick of an empty plate if my back is turned.

My cat eats most leftovers and we regularly eat garlic.

It’s any bulb/flower from a bulb so lillies, garlic, onions, tulips, daffodils, allium flowers.
