Rough cost of full blood tests for cat?

Hi,
I posted here a few weeks ago about our poorly cat and recieved some really helpful replies.
Although she initially seemed to be getting better, eating etc unfortunately she has declined in the past couple of hours. I've spoken to the on-call vet and will be taking her back in tomorrow.
I'm pretty sure the next course of action is a full blood count to find out what's going on under the surface. Does anyone have a rough idea of how much the tests will cost as I didn'tthinkto ask duringthe call (appreciate it'll vary but just looking to get an idea of the potentially to the credit card!).
Thanks in advance.

*Sorry, should have written Complete Blood Count (CBC) rather than full blood count.

I think I paid about £120

Clarich007 · 05/06/2023 13:00

I paid £100 in autumn 2021.
It was really helpful in our case and sorted him out within a couple of weeks.
Good luck, I hope she is soon ok. It's very worrying, hope the blood test helps💐

Thank you both. Ultimately that vet decided that she was too poorly for any decent quality of life and so we let her go a couple of hours ago 😭

Ah, I’m sorry to hear that.

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that. It's heartbreaking.
Hope you're ok soon💐

I was quoted £300 is for a senior screen. But the vet did a basic set that cost £144 and we got the results back that evening.

@Clarich007 & @GuppytheCat thank you. It was heartbreaking as she has a seizure whilst bring examined. As I was saying goodbye she was purring away loudly and then they suddenly stopped.
I know it was for the best but I feel so guilty, and I have to tell DS & DD after school.

Oh no, don't feel guilty. You did the right thing. Although i think feeling guilty is part of the grieving process. I remember thinking was there something else I could have done with all my other cats when the time came. Take care, be kind to yourself x
