Sleep well little Harry Puss, I'll miss you

I can't believe I'm writing this but my lovely, feisty, stubborn little Harry Puss crossed the Rainbow Bridge last night. He has osteoarthritis and had a sudden deterioration yesterday and was dragging his back legs. We took him to the vet and there was nothing they could do for him so we made the hardest decision. It was the right thing but it hurts so much.

I don't love cats but saw this pop up on active and he's got a lovely little face, very dignified looking fella. I'm sorry to hear of your loss

Sorry for your loss OP and I know the devastation you feel.
Our pets are part of the family and I’ve lost a few over the years.

I'm really very sorry to hear this @PinkSparklyPussyCat. He obviously lived the life of Riley with you and will be sorely missed.

I am so sorry pinksparklycat. I know how it hurts. Be kind to yourself today. We felt more at ease once our boy's ashes came back to us.

I hope he's chasing mice and lying in the sun with shad the lad on the other side of the rainbow Bridge. Flowers

So sorry. Been there. You made a very hard decision, and gave him a quick peaceful death instead of a slow painful one.

Oh, Harry! I can't believe it either. I am so sorry. Of course, you absolutely made the right decision though.

I reckon he is up there with Ernie, Asbo and all the other Litter Tray Legends swapping stories of what MNetters wrote about them over the years.

Thank you so much for your lovely words. However many cats we have in the future he will be my number one. They say there's always one special cat and he is definitely it. It was an honour and a privilege to be his humans for 15 years.

I will stay around, and there may well be the patter of tiny paws in the not to distant future. Neither of us can stand the emptiness and I know we can give another rescue a good life. I may be less extravagant with the cat food though!
