I think I’ve found treats that are more cat crack than dreamies.

71% moisture??

Other 29% seems to be mostly tapioca and flavouring. At least they're low calorie and no additives.

Soubriquet · 18/03/2023 19:14

Yes they were very…wet.

Wet is better than the Dreamies shite but not keen on tapioca for cats. I use a tube of liver paste for treats which goes down very well and is healthy. It is 50% moisture.

As an alternative I have some Feringa sticks which I've not opened yet, I got the with my Zooplus points.

I don't feed anything dry, not even treats.

Felix cat soup in my house is like crack. But it makes Cheddar sick. Just discovered Sainsbury's do one with actual real fish in it. So giving that a go instead.

Soubriquet · 18/03/2023 20:21

Ah I hope it helps Cheddar. She’s really going through the wars isn’t she?

This is the first time I’ve fed my cat a wet treat and I’m not in a hurry to repeat it but I’ve got 5 more packets left…so I’ll give them to her every now and then.

She also really likes these dehydrated chicken bites I get her. Tbh, I’ve not really found her turning her nose up at many treats. Her food yes, but treats no.

I might give them a go as i think my cat is broken , he wont touch dreemies , pill pockets and lots of other treats , he will eat about a quarter of a tube of lik-e-licks then wont touch it again for days

My girls go absolutely crazy for Thrive chicken treats. My little one will run off with the tin given half the chance.

Another vote for Thrive chicken treats. They are proper cat crack.

Careerdilemma · 18/03/2023 21:34

And they don't smell.

RandomMess · 18/03/2023 21:54

Absolute crack with my previous lots was sardines or mackerel in tomato sauce, could hide a multitude of drugs or supplements in it.

But if you shake the pack the sound would be like giving a zombies brain a wobble <shlurp >

One shake of the Dreamies tub has our little boy mini panther cantering up the path like the opening credits to Black Beauty .

I cook some plain roast chicken for my DS on a Sunday and I am just the best person in the world when I'm slicing t up ,

The rest of the week she gives me a hoo'er of a look and he looks at me like I am holding a pelt skinning knife !

Hmmmm don’t know. It doesn’t shake. But I bet if I rustle it, she would appear out of nowhere.

Ours love those Thrive chicken snax, but damn are they expensive. I dont buy Dreamies anymore as they really are the cat crack and then I get begging and no one wants their proper dinner.

The fish roe in a tube that Swedes eat (you can get it at Ikea) works well, but I dont give them more than a little dollop on a finger.

The Churu tube treats are what I usually give - good value, 91% wet, dont stink up the house, buy them on Amazon, much loved. Otherwise its some Hearties I get with the zooplus points if I need to lure them out of somewhere.

Soubriquet · 19/03/2023 08:14

My cat also really enjoys these.

They don’t smell so it’s a nice little thing for her

I mean yes, aside from the first two ingredients: chicken, tuna. 🤔
