One of my boys has gone missing and I'm gutted

Woody (my gorgeous tiger) has been missing since Tuesday morning. I went away on Monday morning and left them in the capable hands of my neighbour. He hasn't been seen since Tuesday morning. I am going out of my mind. I got home on Thursday afternoon and I haven't seen him. He never misses a meal.

I hate this. I've checked all my neighbours' garages, he's vanished.

I keep feeling sick, I don't know what to do.

Keep looking. Go out with a torch after dark.
Leave some litter outside, so he can smell it.

Take treats, go out at night when it is quiet. Stand still every few minutes and call him. Do not move on and keep calling until he has had time to hear you and locate your voice. Do this at intervals along each road.

Posters on lamp posts and through letterboxes, contact vets, all vets in the area. Animal Search, Council to ask if they have found a body (sorry but if you leave it too long you may never find out).

Post on Facebook, local groups, WhatsApp groups, there are loads of missing pet sites on Facebook, some by cat colour, some for all pets.

When he comes home, don't forget to notify everyone and remove posters. They sometimes go missing because you aren't there and they don't know you will be back.

Sorry for the late update but I tested positive for COVID on Sunday and have been feeling lousy 🤒

He appeared on Sunday afternoon with a wound on his front leg, poor boy must have been lying somewhere for five days unable to move. Managed to find a vet who would open up and left him there overnight for treatment. I thought he'd been bitten by a snake but the vet said it's more likely he was in a fight. He had to remove a lot of pus and necrotic tissue but said he'll be fine (had all the long lasting antibiotics etc). He came home yesterday and hasn't left my side since 😻 I can't believe he's relatively unscathed after five days, fortunately it's been unseasonably wet here so he managed to stay hydrated all that time.

Have attached a photo of the little bugger, the wound appears to be healing well.

So pleased for you both! My DC rescue has always been a happy indoor cat (I live in an urban area) and I can't have an outdoor puss. My heart would stop every time she went outside. She is currently asleep beside me.

8 lives left op.
And bet you have a few extra grey hairs! The little sods are truly sent to test our nerves! I had one crawl home after 10 nights out one cold October. Vet said the cold had prob prevented him bleeding to death. Back leg completely snapped... Twas grim..
He managed fine in his 3 legs after the op!

Thank you both ❤️ Hopefully another eight lives left as he hasn't used many up in his five years 😅 His little 'brother' is delighted to have him back, his 'sister' not so much as she doesn't like having to share a lap 😾

Bunny your poor boy!

So pleased he is back.
This is why I have a nice catio and my cats don't go out to wander, I used to worry myself sick when they didn't come home. If they are happy indoors that's where they stay, if they are already wanderers then they can go out but have to be home by bedtime.
There's a man near us who rides his bike around with his GSD on a long lead, he lets the dog free when he sees a cat and lets it kill them.
