Window screens - can I wash in the washing machine?

Hi all
Can anyone advise me if I can wash flat cat window screens in the washing machine? I fitted the screens in the summer & they have been fantastic, but now looking a bit grimy. Anyone washed theirs in the washing machine?

I did with mine, and they came out fine. I stuck them straight back up so they would dry nice & flat. Glad it was the furry bit on the screens rather than the hook bit though - would have taken forever to flatten them out if that was the case!

Worst grubbiness I found was round the window frame, really grotty & took a LOT of cleaning.

Do you mean dishwasher?

Mine got damaged. Still useable but the mesh doesn’t look as nice.
