Incoming pair of kittens advice!

We might be adopting a 5month old brother sister pair of kittens this weekend. We’ve adopted before but only a 2yr old and then a single kitten and this time we have a 7month old puppy into the mix (no other cats)

we’re intending to keep the kittens upstairs for the first week (puppy doesn’t have access) to allow them to settle in before introductions and then he’s booked into boarding next Saturday-Sunday morning so we thought then we can introduce them to the rest of the house then start actual puppy/kitten introductions after that

the thing I’m worried about is that next week during the day I’m not working from home (which is fairly unusual), kids obviously at school but DH wfh. How do we make sure we bind well with the kittens and how should DH split his time between them upstairs and the puppy downstairs? Puppy is ok being left on his own for a few hours but not great if he knows we’re just somewhere else in the house…..

any thoughts or advice hugely welcome, I’m likely to be working away from home a lot the next 2 weeks but then we’ll all be around during half term….
