Why might a cat breeder not respond to any texts after a while?

Got a kitten from a breeder in June - she seemed totally involved in her breeding and career. Said she would love to keep in touch etc and offered looking after the kitten if we needed. We exchanged messages for about 4 months then she has just completely disappeared. I'm just wondering what happened. My kitten is well and healthy. I saw the kittens with their mother. I'm just curious. Maybe she got fed up communicating?

She's changed her number?

Surely you would send it out to previous buyers in case you wanted another?

There’s lots of dodgy breeders of cats and dogs. We’ve been told some dreadful tales of breeders with multiple addresses and contact details to cover up bad breeding. Less so with cats, more so dogs, but it still happens. If your cat seems well, I wouldn’t worry now but just be aware that many breeders aren’t what they seem.

I have just found her on Camlist under a different name and posting one month ago and various listings for another cat and dogs that she had bought from elsewhere - selling them as 'raised in a family home' but not hers. Maybe not as involved as I thought.

You didn't have a good ethical breeder, she's clearly a farmer/breed shop of some sort

I believe so. She certainly had the mum and kittens but regards the dogs - urrghhh.
