Cat food suitable for kitten and senior cat?

Hi, we have an older cat (12yrs) and a kitten (6months). We try to feed them separately and as much as we try to keep them away from each others food bowls...I find they keep getting at the other ones bowls.

Problem is....kitten gets runs when he eats the senior food. And chicken causes kitten to get runs too....so we've been taking all those flavour sachets from kitten foods and if he keeps eating the senior cats food then we'll have to remove from her packets too. (Seems a waste of money...though we are keeping them to donate to a cat rescue)

Is there a food that is suitable for a kitten and a senior cat?

Can a senior cat eat kitten food and be healthy? She's recently been unwell and would only eat kitten food. Now she's better I don't want her getting poorly from eating kitten food. Will it cause problems long term?

Any advice would be amazing, thank you

Kitten food will be fine for the old lady, she might not need as much of it as it's generally higher calorie than standard food. Keep an eye on her weight but otherwise it's fine, you can just feed them both the same food for now.
