Injured cat not allowed out but won't stop meowing, any ideas?

Cat is under vets instructions to be kept in and wear a cone but is driving us all mad with him meowing. Is there any tips? Or hints?

My cat was the same after an op.
We took the cone off and he visibly relaxed. He was disorientated, kept bumping into furniture and couldn't eat properly with it on.
It worked for him, but I'm not saying you should do the same.

Maybe you could get a cat onesie so that you can remove the cone?

When my cat was well enough to want to go out but not well enough to keep herself safe outside, I put her in her carry basket and took her round the garden slowly, moving her basket along a few inches at a time, giving her the opportunity to sniff everything. She appreciated that.

We used an inflatable neck collar which our cat preferred.

I just put a baby tee shirt on him long sleeves 3-6 months.

I resorted to cat tv on YouTube for one of ours. It helped...
