If that your other cat who looks mischievous but beautiful

Yarnosaura · 01/12/2022 18:29

Beautiful cat, but I definitely wouldn't have a collar on a mischievous cat.

Just don't use any breakable decorations this year. I switched to battery lights too. Just in case 😼

thenewduchessoflapland · 01/12/2022 18:32

You cannot,I simply admitted defeat that first Xmas with 2 six month old kittens,it stayed up all of 24 hours;they were absolute gremlins

fortifiedwithtea · 01/12/2022 18:33

Family cat who came to us when I was 16 was a furry menace for the tree. First year we gave up , tree laid on the carpet all Christmas. Second year wasn’t much better, didn’t bother with lights.

Percy was an arsehole of a cat his whole life. Its the dickhead things he did that make us smile when we remember him

PlaitBilledDuckyPuss · 01/12/2022 18:36

You can't.

Sorry Xmas Grin

Kittycatkitty · 01/12/2022 18:41

Lol you can't 😂😂 it's hard work
We have three, our youngest is just over 1 and shes in it all the time. It's like a kitty play den for them 😅

HappyHamsters · 01/12/2022 18:42

Oh I got it wrong, I was expecting to see a pic of the kitten stuck in a tree. Would they be interested in a box with scrunchy paper instead. You have to tie the decorations on and use battery lights or buy her another tree of her own.

MrsSkylerWhite · 01/12/2022 18:44

Put kitty in a straight jacket?
Otherwise, no.
((We’ve 4 and many, many, many cute cats in Christmas tree pics))

NeverDropYourMooncup · 01/12/2022 18:47

The best way to keep a kitten out of a Christmas Tree is guaranteed to work 100% of the time.

It's very simple.

You wait until January 6th, take the tree down and put it back into its box. Then you put the box back in the loft, followed by the box that's full of the surviving baubles and tinsel - after removing the kitten from it about five thousand times between January 6th and 14th March. Because they just look so cute when curled up fast asleep in the sparkles.

Other than, staple the tree to the ceiling.

Picklypickles · 01/12/2022 18:47

We adopted a stray a few months back, not sure if he's seen a Christmas tree before or what he's going to make of it! I hope he's not going to try to climb it or attack it because he's a massive cat! My last 2 cats were always pulling all the baubles off and chucking them about the place.

DeeofDenmark · 01/12/2022 18:49

Apparently cats don’t like citrus smells so you could try a few homemade orange slice decorations. Do t k ow if it will work though.

PlaitBilledDuckyPuss · 01/12/2022 18:50

Of course, if Christmas trees were marketed as cat toys and advertised by JML as the perfect thing to keep your kitty occupied for hours ... cats would ignore them.

SixCharactersinSearchofanAuthor · 01/12/2022 18:52

Our cats never been in the tree - it's a fake one that gets stored with a pot of those pine Scentsicle things. Every year I put one on the tree forgetting how vile they smell before taking it off after a couple of days. I don't think they like it either.

Amrapaali · 01/12/2022 18:56

Will something like this work OP? 😊

I think we need evidence in the form of photos so we can give opinions, OP

unsync · 01/12/2022 19:06

Dogs are no better. Mine loves taking all the baubles off. When I had a real tree he would drink from the water reservoir and then cock his leg and pee on the lower branches 🙄

Except one of my DBro's cats, who would steal lemon drizzle cake out of your hands!

EarringsandLipstick · 01/12/2022 19:27

That's a fab photo of your cat! He looks like Tom (as in Tom & Jerry) the way he's standing up.

Indeed, one of our previous cats used to eat tinned mandarin oranges.

PicaNewName · 01/12/2022 19:29

Orange oil on the tree worked for me. Or orange peels. Obviously might not work with an all-white etc tree.

Kittycatkitty · 01/12/2022 21:16

Get some catnip spray, spray it in a box (depending if it's ok I think it's ok for kittens over a certain age )
Get some new toys or dangling toys spray cat nip on them
Get a laser pen,

Every time kitty goes near the tree dangle the toy or shake the laser pen lol

Put kitty in a straight jacket

Ahahahahahahahahahahahaha 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Right after you lose an arm!

Heisenjurg · 02/12/2022 02:25

I second orange peels - it worked to stop my weapon of a cat digging up all my interior plants. For a couple of days. Then they’d dried off and I was just left with piles of soil and random orange peels all over the floor.

sashh · 02/12/2022 03:34
