36 weeks pregnant and cat won't leave me alone!

I'm her favourite person anyway but she isn't a lap cat by any means. Her idea of cuddling is to sit on the other sofa.

I'm 36+1 and for the last day my cat has not left me alone! She slept on me all night (has never done this), followed me into the bathroom multiple times and has generally been at my side all day. Does she know something I don't? I haven't finished my hospital bag 😂. I know it's unlikely as I still have a few weeks to go until due date.

You'll most likely find that this will become your new normal. My female cat became more affectionate during both of my pregnancies especially towards the end! She was also with my during my labours (more than my DH was, in fact) until I went to MLU (with the first) and the midwives came (with the second). Interestly, my male cats didn't seem as bothered...

This is very cute.

She's looking after you and getting you ready for birth. Female cats do this with each other when pregnant. They are very nurturing.

My pregnant cats needed me to do this for them too. Lots of reassurance.

It's very sweet.

Aw this sounds lovely 🥰 . I'm not expecting an early baby anyway as my dd was born at 40+2!

My dog was the same, used to always sleep with my husband in the evenings but a month before I was due she became glued to me. Wouldn't like going for a walk if I wasn't coming and following me round the house. They know you're pregnant and want to look after you, it's sweet, if a little annoying!
