Can I tell you about my cat?

My 11 year old boy died last night. Just made some weird breathing noises , did a poo, then collapsed. I stroked him and talked to him whilst he died. All very sudden. I take comfort that he wasn’t poorly and didn’t have to go to the vet (he hated the vets) and I was with him. But I am going to miss that fat fluffy boy.

Right with you, we have just lost our 17 year old boy and it hurts doesn’t it xxx

Oh what a lovely fluffy cutie! So sorry OP. You gave him a lovely life and he had a loving, comfortable end too.

I have an older cat who lost her sister a few years ago - she was confused but adjusted. We got a new kitten after a decent interval.

Thanks everyone for your kind words. I think the shock is beginning to wear off. But now I’m just so so sad. Miss his crazy little ways. Am focusing on looking after his less bonkers brother.

Wow what a pair of majestic stunners! Condolences on Biscuit's death OP. It must have been very traumatic to watch his passing. Do you know the reason for the sudden loss?

So sorry for your loss, OP. Biscuit was a beauty. How long had he been yours?
My old boy died 30th Oct, hit by a car outside our house. When people say "Oh it was just a cat", they've got no idea. They are little furry family members. x

We don’t know why he died, no.
He was pretty fat so may have been related to that.

We have had them since they were 8 weeks old so over 11 years. They really are part of the family. Been through so many ups and downs together

Sorry for your loss too. It is so hard.
