Hi everyone
This is the first time I’ve posted on this particular topic but I wanted to share my story.

This beautiful boy is Binx, and what better time to introduce him to you all than just after hallowe’en.

I’ve suffered with depression and anxiety for as long as I can remember.

The lockdowns hit me very hard, and I got to a point where I couldn’t leave the house.
We had previously had 3 beautiful house cats who all had to be put to sleep very young due to having FIV (from birth)
Their loss was devastating and just compounded my depression until in June 2021 I was at rock bottom. I hadn’t left the house in months and I was honestly suicidal.

Then DH came home with a surprise, an 8 week old ball of fluff and I fell in love.

I named him Binx, because Binx was immortal (until the end but we don’t talk about that)
He slept on my bed from day 1
followed me everywhere and gives the best cuddles.

The day after he arrived I ventured to the shops to get food and supplies
The week after, I took him to the vets for his injections

And by the September was coping well enough (with medication) to go back to college.

I honestly don’t know what I’d do without him, and he really better be immortal because losing him would break me.

Anyone else’s cat helped them overcome anything huge?

The first cat is the late Millie who was a feral rescue & the second is my current rescue cat Ebony.. both have helped me through my problems with Schizoaffective disorder & epilepsy..

Not a cat but a budgie. He kept me going when DH was on ITU. I had something/someone to get up for when I was terrified and alone ( this was lockdown too) . Binx looks like he knows his job is to keep you going. He is a handsome boy.

That’s lovely Budgies are such perfect little beings ❤️
