My poor baby girl. Bastard fireworks.

Next door but two decided to have loud fireworks. It frighted my poor girl who ran into the park behind our house and up the tallest tree. We didn’t find her for a couple of hours. She then jumped about 25 ft down when DH found her.
He then passed her over the fence to me and she ran to the top of the garden and lay there panting. She’s in now and had eaten loads. She’s let me touch her legs and stroke her so she seems ok.

Anyway, fireworks are bastards.

I think fireworks should only be available for planned displays. Anyone wanting fireworks in their garden should have to apply for a permit and post a notice of intent. Doesn't have to be expensive. Noise level for private fireworks should be limited.

My cat doesn't give a shit though tbf, it's me who hates the fucking things 😂

Give your little lass a li'l butt scritch from me. (That bit on the back where the tail starts 😁)

She normally doesn’t care but I think this worried her as she was outside. Inside only after dark from now on.

Feliway, Zylkene, and keep her in from dusk. Before mine got used to fireworks, I would start them on Zylkene from a few days before Diwali & carry on until the season was over. You just open the capsule and sprinkle it over wet food - mine loved the taste & would lick it all off before starting eating.
