We have a new 9 week old kitten (pics below). He was feral and two weeks later he's now the sweetest boy and I'm besotted with him.

He's the perfect lap cat but he just wants to sleep on my shoulder or around my neck! I love the snuggles but I can't hear the TV from his purrs! 😂 Why do they like this and is it normal?

Aww he's beautiful! I had a scarf cat too! He was the sweetest thing. You'll get used to the purring 🤣 My sister has a French bulldog that loves to sleep like that, the snoring is unbearable!

We got two rescue cats last Christmas and they were like limpets when we got them. Every time we sat down they'd sit on you. One was also like yours and would be wrapped round my neck like a scarf. I loved it, having not had a lap cat for a long time. Sadly it hasn't lasted and whilst they are both still affectionate they only occasionally now sit on us 😥

Enjoy it whilst it lasts OP as he may not always be like this.

One of mine has liked to sit under my hair and suck my ears since he was a kitten. He's now 11 and weighs 6kg and still tries it occasionally.

I miss having a lap cat.

He is beautiful 😍 we used to have a really cuddly cat and when we lost him, or next little cat was adorable, but not snuggly, and I really missed it. We got our little cat a friend a year or so later and they are super snuggly, so I have one to cuddle and one to admire from afar now!

He's gorgeous. My two Burmese have always wanted to be on my shoulders , under my chin , hanging around my neck. I've given up trying to sleep without a cat snuggled up against my face at night.

They fight each other for the prime position which is to be as close to my face as possible.
