I have one female who we had since she was two months old. She is now two years old.

In may we got a male thanks Cat he is three years old.

They breaded and now she is 3 weeks post birth with two healthy kittens (this is her first pregnancy). She is violently attacking the Male Cat. To the point where she latches onto him, scratches him and makes him bleed, even cutting my husband in the process as he tries to break them up. This isn't just a playful fight. This is her growling hissing and absolutely giving it all she has. The male cat doesn't even defend him self. He just stands there and cries as he gets beaten up. How do we have them live in harmony? Has anyone else dealt with this? We are not getting them spaded and neutered as we want them to have more kittens in the future. For now. They are separated into different rooms but we would love for them to be able to mix like they did before and during her pregnancy.

All help and messages are welcomed. They are sphinx cats. She's a dark grey, brown undertone cat and he's a spotty grey and cream cat.

🙄Seriously ?? You are keeping unnutered male and female cats?
You will have to keep him as a stud completely separate probably in a run outside.
Your poor cats

Could she be pregnant again?
Most animalx are very fertile after giving birth.

She might be very hormonal and telling him to sod right off?

Chemenger · 05/10/2022 18:01

Get them both neutered.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 05/10/2022 18:01

This won't go well will it?

This won't go well will it?

No, and it should not go well.

TempNameChangexx · 05/10/2022 18:04

Please just get them both neutered - it's much better for them.

AesSedaiGreenAjar · 05/10/2022 18:13

With the op saying this is her first litter makes me think she’s not going to bother to neuter them at all! Obviously has no clue about car care either, I despair

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 05/10/2022 18:13

Why on earth would OP get them neutered?
They will provide a cash cow of expensive (deformed) kittens to sell to line OP's pockets while the OP clearly doesn't have the first clue about cat behaviour.

BlueKaftan · 05/10/2022 18:14

🙄 so daft

PollyCreo · 05/10/2022 18:41

You shouldn't be in charge of a biro, never mind cats.

RandomMess · 05/10/2022 19:04

FFS the boy needs to be separated and live on his own.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 05/10/2022 20:09

Is that the life he has ahead of him, as a studcat ?

Just allowed to meet up to mate then kept outside alone ?
He'll need to be in a heated enclosure if he's Sphinx

But what a lonely grim existence Sad

RandomMess · 05/10/2022 20:50

That is the reality of a stud life unless you have several queens, use hormones for birth control so they can live in a group.

Many breeders do things differently, some keep them in pens but spend hours a day with them for play and affection.

verdantverdure · 05/10/2022 21:59

She's telling him she never wants to go through cat sex, pregnancy, birth and bringing up kittens ever EVER again.

He's saying "Fair dos. I wouldn't either. I'm sorry. I didn't know. I'm just a cat."

And you're saying...what?

"KERCHING!"

DumpedByText · 05/10/2022 22:15

FFS if he's a stud cat he needs keeping separate from her. He will never be happy if he's around her as he just wants to mate her. She's probably not interested and protecting her kittens. You do know they will never live in harmony until they are both neutered. You sound really irresponsible and just after money from breeding!
