Day 3 of the cats on a diet

Well not exactly a diet but weighing out their food rather than being fed multiple times a day! Preparing to switch them to a raw feed kibble.

It's amazing how long they can stay awake all day when they believe they are absolutely starving 🤣

Why are you doing that? Has a vet advised it? I've always had at least one (sometimes 3) cat, in the 42 years I've been married. Dy food has always been available, 24/7, with a bowl of water to drink. Wet food - or 4 pouches a day as well.

Are they overweight? Best of luck, if so - they will scorn you for a while.

I was told that one of mine had to go on a diet. And by diet, I mean he got the correct amount of weighed food rather than fed on demand with biscuits available all day.

The weight loss was very slow.

That might be because he has convinced both me and DH on more than a few occasions that one of us has forgotten to feed him. After comparing notes, we discovered that DC kid actually just a bloody good liar!

We now make a point of saying ‘I have fed the cats’ before going to work or bed etc so they don’t get over fed.
