Just want to out this here for people who will get it.

My poor baby girl Rosie has been in hospital since Sunday evening with a diagnosis of Pyothorax.

She's now had drain tubes placed in her chest cavity to try and drain the fluids out.

She's stable apparently - but we don't know when she is coming home - I just hope she is.

Went to visit yesterday - my poor poor little love.

Please keep your fingers crossed for her.

She's Rosie, 4 years old

Doesn’t she look happy 😹 what aftercare have you got to do?

missfliss · 17/09/2022 08:25

She has 4 weeks of antibiotics - 2 of them are fortnightly injections ( so she's had one on discharge) and oral antibiotics at home. She has 2 painkillers and 3 vet appointments booked.
Will be staying in house for a week possibly longer

Updating to say - 1 week check up and all looking good so far. Back again next week for another AB shot. Her appetite is nearly back and she's almost the same cat as before she got Ill.
Fingers crossed the next 3 weeks of ABs do their work!

She's beautiful op glad she's on the mend

On a separate possibly cheeky fecker point, can I ask how do you get on
With your shutters. Any thoughts or suggestions welcome
Our cat is destroying our verticals 😩

missfliss · 21/09/2022 16:06

These shutters are no issue with cats - they don't move or flap or anything so if no hunting interest to be attached by felines !

She's a beauty! I wish humans could have long lasting antibiotic injections.
