Noticed Dcat had really bad breath and swollen lip with drooling looked inside and it looks like an ulcer perhaps? I'm taking him to the vet in the morning but I wondered what it could be. He's eating drinking fine.

Looks like highly impacted / infected tooth. Prob ok eating as can eat at the front. Definite vet job tomorrow.

That looks like a tooth!

It's a massive pocket of pus! Poor cat they are going to put him under sedation drain clean and give him antibiotics.

That sounds painful I hope he gets well soon .

They cleaned the pocket out and necrotic tissue there's a little bit remaining but he's had antibiotics and anti-inflammatory. Vet did warn hopefully it's not a tumour but his face looks like it's already deflated 🤣🤣. He's running round like a loon playing , scratching his post. I think he already feels a lot better so fingers crossed it was just an abscess.

Update lip is still swollen so worried it's a tumour he's having metacam. No smelly breath or drooling right now so that's positive he's only 6 😥. Such a beautiful friendly cat he's a lovely boy. I just hope it's not cancer.
