Unusual cat name suggestions please!

Hi,

We brought our 1 year old rescue home a couple of days ago. He is absolutely adorable, floofy, super affectionate, gentle but also very playful. He is really soft and slinky.

He's black, with brown on the underside/chest. We don't want an obvious name like Sooty, but something unique and unusual. Weirdly, we joked about calling him Chimney instead, and on the first day he climbed behind the fireplace to explore😂Chimney doesnt realy sound right though🤔

He has a slight overbite so the fangs are always out. Little weirdo.

I started my cat collection with alcohol names so I had Palinka, JD, Hennessy, Alizè, Koko (Kanu as her middle name), Scrumpy, Ouzo. Then I had a b&w cat who looked like he had a mask on so he broke tradition and was Zorro. Raki was next. Lech and Tyskie were son and mother. For some reason, I moved to animal names: Raven, Vixen, Toad, Pigeon. In between was Ghostie as she is a pale tortie. Now Fred and Frank.

I'd say pick a theme cause you'll end up having another cat 😉 Also try calling it outside to make sure you won't feel silly. My friend always wanted me to call a cat Gary so my ex would have to stand outside shouting for Gary to come home 😂

Chairman Miaow

For some reason this name seems to get mentioned a lot on Mumsnet. For those who don’t know, Chairman Mao was responsible for the death and suffering of tens of millions of people. Calling you cat this is the equivalent of calling it “Kitler”.

I like Knuffel - is he a Maine Coon? He seems to have long tale lynx like tips of ears….

Can he have 2 names?

We have 3 cats all boys .
One is jet black and he is called Kaka( don’t ask me why ) but we got him as a kitten and he is 11 years old now and very grumpy 😡.He doesn’t have any health problems but he is a bit nasty 😱
The other one is called Dory ( my daughter named him) and the baby is called moose ( because he is tiny ) .

Ha! We did actually consider that!
