My old boy has come home with a notch in his ear

He's 8, not territorial at all with other cats in our garden so I'm a bit worried this has happened. He's a fat lazy ball of fluff generally.

Do I need to take him to the vet? Get him checked out? He seems fine in himself

One of my cats did this to her sister. (Another cat was in the garden and she turned on her sister) I kept finding blood around but it took me so long to find the wound as the scab blended with her fur, that it had healed. It doesn't bother her at all. But it was only a small notch.

That stop bleeding. And check him for other injuries.

You can dab saltwater on it but generally they heal up.
