The size of the average male moggie

Are male moggies usually larger than females? Most of the cats I've known have been female, and the 2 or 3 males I've known have been larger than them. MrCat is 6.6kg.

My fella was 5kg exactly for most of his adult life. He was neutered around 6 months. He's very elderly now and only weighs about 3.2kg despite a very healthy appetite.

His sister (littermate) was a dinky wee thing at 3.5kg. He looked enormous compared to her.

My Annie was 16 pounds in her prime, though she was very greedy and overweight (she's now a trim 8 lb or so in her 20th year) but generally, yes, my other girls are about 7 pounds each and my boys about 12.

My floof's nuts had a one way trip to the vets when he was about 8 weeks old. He's bigger than the white one in the photo.
I've another rescue boy that was neutered at about 10 months who is about 2/3 the size of him.
I've also a female British short-hair, a rescue so no idea when she was neutered and she's tiny.

We have two.

One is 4.5kg and the other around 9kg

Mine is 6.2kg. He was 6.4 kg in January and the vet agreed when I said "he's fat isn't he?" I've been weighing his food but the little sod has been supplementing his diet with sparrows. He has a small delicate head and when sitting down from the back he looks like a skittle.

Our Siamese boy is 7months and is 4kg , his sister is about 3.5kg

My old boy was 6.85kg at his maximum and his sister was 5.85kg. I've got two boys now, Boris is 4.2kg and Ollie is a very leggy slimline boy and 3.9kg. They are offered food the same as my last two, but I guess like people, you get different shapes and sizes.
