Anyone else’s cat turn their nose up at these delicacies?

My British shorthair is an insanely fussy creature. He happily scoffs his biscuits, duck treats and tolerates small amounts of wet food, but turns his nose up at salmon, mackerel, cod, cheese and today, a prawn (despite miaowing at me while I was deshelling them!)

Is anyone else’s cat like this? Hmm He used to be at least willing to try things but now he just sniffs and walks off in disgust.

Our cats turned their noses up at freshly roasted chicken but love the chicken flavour cat food and cat biscuits.

One cat loves cat biscuits and has totally undermined our not feeding on demand ideology.

My husband fell for it last week. Both cats in the kitchen wanting a bed time snack. (They'd had their proper tea i.e. pouch wet food and a side order of cat biscuits each ate as much of their serving as they wanted - all good.) So, out came the chicken flavoured cat biscuits.

What was in their bowls in the morning ? Most of the chicken flavoured cat biscuits from the night before.

A previous cat we had turned his nose up at prawns, bacon.

Brought our boy home a piece of lobster from a posh meal out. Turned his nose up and walked away.

Cats (and dogs) are strange friends cat is very fussy but will go out and eat any old rubbish.

If your cats fussy try putting the bowl out for 'other cats' our friend did this and he quickly nipped out znd ate it before anyone else had the chance.

Does anyone else’s cat also leave one little emergency biscuit in the bowl for later? Biscuit

My little kitty will only eat purina gold gourmet savoury cake😂 Any other wet food she will turn her nose up. She loves dreamies and eats biscuits. Loves bits of chicken as well

My cat will only eat wet food from a pouch, but then goes off them, she used to like perle, then whiskas now felix fish. She will eat most dry food though. She went mental for roast pork and fried fish, she used to mug me for prawns if I had a prawn sandwich but seems disinterested in people food now. She's not a food motivated cat at all, skinny minny.

Mine only likes dry food, and dreamies and chewy sticks as treats, sometimes a bit of Tuna,
when he was a kitten he liked milk, butter & cheese but not any more.
he recently has developed a
taste for baby birds in the garden though 😫

Mine will only eat dry food. Trying do give one of them a soft diet after jaw issues was a nightmare as they just would t eat enough of it! I gave up as they both lost weight!

Our BSH is the same! He only eats 2 flavours of a frankly ludicrously expensive brand of raw food, but if it has been in the fridge for longer than 2 days… he knows. And will not eat it.

He does not like any sort of cat food that you can buy in a local supermarket. He would rather starve.

Occasionally he will deign to eat a particular brand of dry food, but only if the kibbles are all bunched up on the side of the bowl that he eats from. Once they disperse all round the bowl he will not eat them.

He likes tuna and 2 flavours of dreamies but turns his nose up at other treats, even things you would expect a cat to go mad for.
