Help please. Very young cat in heat - not sure what to do.

A very cat keeps visiting my neutered cat. She burbles and waves her bum at him - and yowls at night outside the window. This has been going on for a few days. She's not hungry and she wears a collar. I've emailed everyone I know in the building but nobody knows her. I'm pretty sure somebody in a nearby flat owns her and hasn't bothered to get her neutered. The signs of her being in heat are pretty obvious. Any suggestions?

@thecatneuterer do you think a rescue organization might be able to jump the ordinary vet queue to get a spay/abort, if any applicable owners agree? She's probably pregnant by now. My Bibi was allowed to get pregnant at 6 months (in fairness, she may have been born stray, we don't know) and it messed her health up for ages.

@iloveeverykindofcat All rescues have different set ups - some have in-house vets; some have ties to particular vets and some, smaller ones, just book in cats in the same way as members of the public do. So it's hard to say for sure but I think the answer to your question is 'probably'.

I thought they might. I'm pretty sure the rescue spayed Bibi as soon as they picked her up (though this was back before Brexit and Covid)

Floralnomad It didn't occur to me that there might be a waiting list at the vet. I took her to my local one and she's not chipped. But I'm convinced she belongs to someone as she's never hungry. Also, her wailing and arse wiggling has stopped and she still visits.
