Burglar alarm - with cats who rule the house!

Hi all,
We want to install burglar alarms in our house but all the “pet friendly” ones seem to be PIR ones and we don’t think this will work for us, as our three cats are used to lounging on high surfaces (like the top of the sofa or a bookcase).
We have never locked them in one room overnight / when we are out (they are free to roam the house as they please) and we don’t put them in a cattery when we go on holiday - we just have them looked after in their own environment at home…
And as they are now 8 and we have had them since they were kittens, we wouldn’t want to start that now.

I’ve seen door/window vibration alarms mentioned - but can’t find anything online definitely recommending a brand that offers this + a good alarm that animals won’t set off.
The only one we can find is an ADT pet friendly one - but slightly put off by monthly charges.
A bit new to alarms, so it may this is the best / only option.

Has anyone got such a thing? Recommendations desperately needed.

Thanks ever so much!

We have a Texecom alarm and it pir's don't pick up animals - was sceptical when we first moved in but it's fine, I think pir's are a lot cleverer than they used to be!

I have a top-quality Bosch one that cost an arm and a leg and I am too scared to use it!

We have ADT, yes they're costly but I like the monitoring centre link.
The kittens, now nearly 1yr never set the sensors off until recently when boy-cat seems to be setting them off, he is quite long when he stretches 🤦🏼‍♀️ so we're sorting the existing old sensors to be adjusted, which ADT can do or we may need the newer sensors which are more adapted apparently so we'll see....

I have one fitted by PAL security, works perfectly for the cats, I’ve got 6 of them. 6 years on, not a single issue. £90pa maintenance contract.
