Older female still growling at kittens

Amy support is helpful. We have a 6 year old female. Lost our older make mid 2021, they were friends.

Got a kitten before christmas and she hates him, growls hisses and swipes him, another kitten came just after christmas whom she still behaves similarly but not so vehemently, he's more playful and bossy, first kitten was a feral so he's timid but curious.

It's been 3+ months and still the same ... anyone else experienced this or any thoughts?

Growing up we had a cat that hated the new kitten until the "new kitten" died of old age. Then the very old cat had a glorious few years of being an adorable affectionate lap cat which came as a huge shock as she'd been a hate-filled fighter fuelled by revenge and bitterness since the day we brought the kitten home.

I presume you are doing Feliway and Yu Calm and multiple litter trays etc?

That is a long hatred @BluerThanRobinsEggs ! Our female was never particularly affectionate, now she's just cross all the time
