This amount of cat slavery is normal in our house. Normal people must think we are bonkers.

So, this is Dcat’s food station. She’s almost 18 - age is sketchy, we adopted her as a stray but a very young cat.
Why is she so disdainful? She’s forgotten her roots!
She has a high food station because of “That Dog” (her words) who is a rescue that loves cats but will eat everything.

@iklboo

J-Man looking like he closed the club. I expected to find half a kebab on the floor! 😂
Love that photo! He definitely closed the club.

@Snooks1971

This. She’s in now, on a cushion
That is such a perfect representation of a cat - cute, yet manipulative!

My little joker shouts to be let out - but I can’t close the door behind him, otherwise he shouts to come back in. Am so looking forward to Spring arriving.

Bless you OP that really made me laugh. My two don't require that level of service with food though if they did I'd probably cave to it. Bibi came off the streets and eats anything - food is her number one concern in life and her weight is an ongoing battle (she was starving for the first year). Zara is perfectly happy as long as she gets her preferred brand, in her preferred flavour, in her preferred eating spot at the same times daily. Luckily its easily available. They're plenty spoiled in other ways though.

The cat version of Michael Winner is back. I despair.

Our cat sneers at all cat beds we've bought dozens. However he loves suitcases. Whenever we're going on holiday and we get them out of the loft he knocks them over to sleep on, covering them in hair and denting the tops of them.

So we bought him his own tk maxx suitcase. It sits permanently at the bottom of our bed. I hoover it and re-puff it when it's too caved in.

Oh my, such cat weirdness! I’ve learnt after 30 or so years to never buy a cat bed ever again. ALTHOUGH I had a lapse just before lockdown and bought a Cat Cave from Lidl.

She treated it as like entering into the Jaws of Satan. Never a good deed goes unpunished.

Yep, cat beds, caves, tunnels, water fountains. He glared at them all.

He loves a suitcase or rucksack to sleep on though. Found him asleep in the bath before, and an empty plant pot.

My “dumped in a plastic bag in the dodgy bit of local city” kitties like clean, high thread count white Egyptian cotton bedding to sleep and shed fur on plus a vispring mattress to support their little backs.

They have a very pampered life now!!

I miss our cats! Dad would not speak to mum for a couple of weeks when she brought a kitten home. However, my dad became a real old softie over the cats. We used to sit on the sofa watching tv and the cat would leap on top and start swinging her tail from side to side. No one ever thought of telling her to get down. We got used to sitting with our head at an angle. It was especially fun if she had had an argument with another cat and hat a thick fluffy tail which she kept swishing from left to right!!

TheBalletCats · 07/05/2022 21:25

I do hope that she’s called www.jstor.org/stable/2912551Beatrice @Snooks1971 ? Or if she’s not, that it’s now going to go into the nickname rotation 😸

TheBalletCats · 07/05/2022 21:27

Oh, Mumsnet 🤦🏻‍♀️

Beatrice

Dratted “improvement” messing up my hyperlink.

There's something interesting amongst all this, me thinks!
