DCat health anxiety - just me?!

Two months ago we bought home DCat, a (then) 13 week old ragdoll kitten.

To cut to the point, the whole household is utterly smitten with this kitten! I've had several cats before and of course we've always been fond of them, but this little guy is something else. DD in particular is absolutely in love with him, and I'm almost alarmed by how much he is part of the family already and I cannot help but be aware of how devastated we would be if something happened to him.

He is in perfectly good health and has a full genetic tested pedigree from a registered breeder. But I am finding myself worrying if he has been asleep too long, worrying if he isn't as playful as usual, worrying if he seems less hungry one day... you get the picture! He was neutered last week and I was honestly so stressed waiting for the call from the vets, and watched him like a hawk afterwards for anything amiss.

Is it just me?! It's like having a bloody newborn again! I don't worry about the DCs like this any more!!

Theres always one pet you bond with better than the others, they just have bigger personalities somehow.

Love the pic ... great you got him neutered so fast.

He’s a beauty😍

I’m a fairly new cat owner and a bit like when ds1 was born, I worry about any change in her behavior. I phoned the GP once because Newborn Ds1 hadn’t woken for his feed so I have form🤣🤣 I think I am relaxing now but it takes time.

I also have a ragdoll, ours is a rescue. They are adorable cats. Enjoy your gorgeous bundle of fluff😍🤩

Very very normal! We adopted our SIberian last summer and for the first few months I was on tenterhooks Grin Constantly stressing about how or when we might break our little kitten. Very anxious few months.

Now we are quite laid-back. A few vet visits for minor issues like teething, snuffly nose etc. I was actually sleepless when these things happened. But now more confident that we can handle it and look after her whatever comes...

You and kitten will be aboslutely fine Smile

He looks adorable like a little fluffy baa lamb

Completely normal! I have had loads of health issues with two of mine though.
