It's been nearly 2 years since my darling QuantumCat was PTS, and it's taken me that long to feel like I'm ready for another one. But I've registered with two local rescues this week, to hopefully have QuantumCats 2 & 3 with us in the New Year.

I'm ridiculously excited - but don't tell DH, because officially I am grumpy about a return to cat hair everywhere, hairballs and scratched carpetsWink

That's lovely, congratulations! Are you trying to get two kittens who are littermates or just two rescues?

I have a 10 year old male and a 12 year old female and am starting to get the kitten longing.

I'm open to either - just a pair that the shelter wants homing together. I don't mind either kittens or young adults.

I had QuantumCat from 8 months old, and she was SO different as a kitten, so I completely get wanting to recapture that!

Oh I remember that excitement of knowing I would have cats in my life. The week long wait to go to choose be chosen by the cats I barely slept. Then the wait until I could go and collect them!

Just think, in another few weeks you'll have a pair of furry bundles hiding behind the sofa watching you warily Grin

I’m so pleased for you that you’re in a place where you’re feeling able to have another feline friend (indeed friends!) of your own & that hopefully you’ll have them with you soon.

The Ballet Cats would like me to confirm that two cats are definitely better than one; and the BEST cats are littermates you get as kittens. (They’ve helpfully suggested you see if the rescue have any kittens that were born in an attic & had almost no human contact for their first 8 weeks, because those are the BEST cats. I think they may be getting a bit above themselves, but in fairness I do routinely tell them they are the best cats in the world, so… )
