Lost cat - what to do next

I've posted on the local lost pet forum on Facebook, shared it on my own page & asked people to share it.
Been walking round the estate shouting him last night and this morning!
I've phoned the local vets hospital - he's not there
I'm going to make some flyers & posters,
He is microchipped - will fish out the paper work and see if there is anything I can do there.
What else can I do? Please help

Plump a Christmas Miracle is what we need!
Phone call Thursday - Thursday & Friday sat in the cat - a different black & white cat - although the call said he looked scruffy - the cat we saw didn't so I haven't ruled that out - although it is sooo close to our house!

Another call today - second call from someone - another black & white Cat - I saw him run think too fast & too small for our cat!

TBH I knew that first day he didn't come in Something was very wrong - he does not go anywhere!
We're still deploying the camera etc ! 🙏🙏🙏

So sorry he's still missing 😢 mine has been gone for 3 weeks now, he's a nosy and frankly stupid 2 year old though so god knows what mischief he's for himself into. The waiting and not knowing and sliver of hope is the worst thing - at what point do you give up? 😔

I'm so sorry. I've been watching and hoping for good news.
I just saw this tip on facebook. I know it sounds crazy but I also know that in your position I'd be desperate enough to try anything.

I lovey that Paper and have to confess that I have asked every cat I've seen if they know where he is!

No Christmas Miracle here yet but I can but hopes! 🙏

No news! Well a phone all with a potential sighting! We've moved our search to there while still checking the old spot! No sign so far, we've leafleted the street , put up more posters etc but nothing since!
Also had a phone call at 3.00am Boxing Day morning, someone thought they had him, but it was his (already known to us) double from round the corner!
The person who called was a young fella with an electric scooter who suffers from insomnia - so he's joined our search team!

It's exhausting - the highs & then the lows are awful! 🙁

No news! I think he's gone! 😭

We had 700 leaflets printed the week before last and did the whole estate, again a few phone calls but none of them were him!

Absolutely devastated! I don't know quite how to give up really, we're still putting the wildlife camera up everyday & every morning we look at the photos hoping to see him but I'm not sure if we're not just torturing ourselves!

Well someone nicked our wildlife camera last night so that's that! 🙁

So sorry to hear he's not back yet.
The not knowing is the worst feeling isn't it.
Our cat has been missi g since last Wednesday, but it's very normal for him.

Oh, ffs! People are so scummy. If it isn’t nailed down they take it.

So sort of a happy update!
We went to see 2 rescue cats tonight! We do so miss having a cat around the place!
So mum 3 black & white & son 1 all black! ❤️!

I won't ever give up looking for my lovely boy & will deal with any issues if we ever get him back!

But hopefully we can help these 2 & they can help us!

Congratulations on your new cats @leotardrock , I hope they bring your family lots of joy .

I really think that your beautiful boy found another home and is being looked after and loved. Cats do this and it’s heartbreaking. Perhaps the people who now have him didn’t see any of the flyers, it’s completely possible if they were people who don’t go out much/ engage with social media.
I’m so glad that you did everything you could to find him, now is the time to love your new babies. You are doing a lovely thing if you rescue those two.

So it's a year since I lost my lovely boy!

I still check the local lost cat Facebook page everyday & look out for him when I'm out & about but no potential sightings for months!

On a plus note my two rescues have settled in & I couldn't wish for 2 gentler, more affectionate cats, they really are lovely! ❤️

So to end on a positive! Here they are!

Oh this gave me a lump in my throat but your two babies are beautiful and so lucky to have you!

The two you rescued will hopefully heal part of your heart and make you smile again.
