Is there an effective way to stop the kitten chewing through wires?

I've bought some spray but I'm not sure it will work.

He has chewed through the wires of some lights I had hanging up and now they are fubar'ed.

I want to replace them but don't want to waste money just for him to do it again.

He has loads of toys, lives in a very busy household and has massive of space.

He's 3 months so too young to go out.

And I guess he will chew through the Christmas tree lights too?

Well that kittens very cute and obviously incapable of bad behaviour but to stop whatever is chewing cables you can buy rabbit proof covers online. Or cable covers generally/ducting sort of material.

You're kitten is absolutely gorgeous. Lovely markings. Our big boy is 4 and still partial to a bit of wire nibbling. He's caused no end of damage in my sons room... Which hasn't gone down well as you can imagine! 😡 Not practical for you, but there's locks on my sons room now so that the cat can't get in. ( He has got slightly better in that he now only chews the thin wires, charger cable is his favourite!!)

We have used wire covers that you slot on and also wire organiser boxes. Blocked off some areas with makeshift stuff!
Keeping him from going upstairs as major wire job needed up there and generally needs de cluttering upstairs!

Beautiful, and definitely innocent 😇

Just seen wiping the wires with vinegar recommended on another thread, might be worth a try?
