National shortage of cat vaccine

My cats had an appointment for their annual jab on Saturday but it’s been cancelled due to the vets being unable to get cat vaccine. Anyone else heard of this?

Yes, I rang to make the appointment for our cats last week and the receptionist said they have no vaccines due to a national manufacturing shortage. She said they'll ring me when they get some in. It is a bit worrying isn't it?

Ours have to show vaccine certificates when they go to the cattery, but I’ve spoken to the cattery and they will give 3 months grace period. Hope they get some in before then.

Yes our local is only doing elderly and vulnerable. Means we'll have to pay for two if they don't get their booster in time too.

Yes it's a global shortage. May be resolved by January but we don't know. Most practices have been given a small allocation and kittens are being prioritised.

Wow, I had no idea! Perhaps it depends on the area... mine all had theirs last week and nobody mentioned any shortages. Clearly I was lucky!

Yes when I tried to book in for his booster. Told to ring mid December to see if the situation is resolved. I was told he'll be ok until mid January and he's under Vetsforpets vax for life.

Same here and also told to call in December - apparently ours are 'due' in December but they can have 2 months' grace so expecting to vaccinate in February (I thought they were due in September)
