When I'm away at work dcat sleeps happily until 7am never disturbing dh. When I get home she will jump all over me at 3am. It's driving me insane. I've been known to jump out of bed and tell her to pack a bag she's leaving. Confused

I've shut her out and she has left deep scratches in our bedroom door, I've hung up a blanket so she can't instead she'll dig up the carpet when I put a blanket on the door and one on the floor she will sit outside and howl so in every situation i'm woken up.

She must really really dislike me! I can't shut her in a room downstairs because she'll tear the place apart. Boy cat is as good as gold it's just her. I'm tired. Is there a miracle cure for this witching hour?!

I have a bowl of food - the crunchiest dry food known in the feline kingdom - placed outside my door in the hope that once they've crunched through that they will have forgotten what they came upstairs for. Works 85% of the time and requires earplugs, but worth a try.

Our Bengal was locked in the kitchen overnight. We rotated the door handle or he’d twang it all.night.long.

Despite all this we miss him very much.

Sadly my 3am wakeup will only go back to bed after being fed. I know he trained me that way but he has virtually no teeth and is old and very underweight so does need it...AND it is easier than being scratched or dribbled over and yowled at!
Like you he only hassles me not my DH!

Cheddar likes to wake me up for a cuddle. But she likes to make biscuits on my face. Which wakes me up if her claws aren't short enough. It would be fine if she just settled and went to sleep. But she just can't sit still.

It’s more likely that she does this because you’re her human, rather than because she dislikes you, I’d have thought. Not that that helps!
