I've tried googling but can't decide. It's not as big as some he's had and brought to me with love.

How funny @Allergictoironing…I never had this with my previous ST

Ellmau · 11/10/2021 17:40

@FlatteredFool

They don't have a cat flap. He knows he's always welcome for a sleepover and snuggles and is very loved. His owners know he's with us half the time.
The rat is his idea of rent ;)

The little horror has just brought me a live baby mouse. I am not happy with him. I thought it was dead but when I tried to pick it up it had disappeared! So I ended up shutting the cat in the kitchen and hunting around for the tiny mouse. I scooped it up and put it gently outside and it wandered off. I hope it is ok. Cat is purring and shouting at me but I've told him I am not happy with him and now he is noisily washing his genitalia on my bed. This is what I get for letting him in out of the rain. And to think I promised him dreamies when I next go shopping.

Cats eh? If they wanted to bring a present why not some wine or chocolate?

FlatteredFool · 15/10/2021 18:21

I ended up getting my back clawed because I was ignoring his shouting and pestering to go back out in search of the little mouse. He kind of bats under the covers but always keeps his claws slightly out. Horror.

Naughty owners not making sure he is in their house overnight.

FlatteredFool · 15/10/2021 18:34

He becomes elusive when he is called in at night and I love having him here. I just don't appreciate his gifts. He is utterly gorgeous and has me wrapped around his paw.

You've forgotten the other photo, OP. You know the one.... Smile

TaraR2020 · 15/10/2021 18:44

Definitely a rat!

FlatteredFool · 15/10/2021 18:49

He's not mine (although that appears to be semantics) so I don't feel I can post a photo of him on here.

Definitely a baby rat. I only know as my cat brought one into the house and left it at the top of the stairs . I did not know I could scream so loud 😂

Babdoc · 15/10/2021 18:57

My previous cat used to bite his mice and rats in half. He ate the fronts, but liked to leave the bums in the sun for a day or two in the garden, then eat them. Sun dried bums - I wonder if there’s a marketing opportunity there for a new flavour of Dreamies?!

picklemewalnuts · 15/10/2021 18:58

Hmm. Could you give his photo a moustache so we could see him but he'd still be disguised and his identity securely secret?

OldTinHat · 15/10/2021 18:59

Ratty!

Wineisrequired · 15/10/2021 19:01

@Babdoc that made me 🤣😂

FlatteredFool · 15/10/2021 19:07

@picklemewalnuts here is a zoomed in shot of his cute little nose.

Deffo a rat

FlatteredFool · 15/10/2021 19:08

I get back ends left too Confused heads much be tastier when fresh, back ends mature over time.

Xfox · 16/10/2021 10:41

First time my cat left me a dead baby rat I found it by stepping on it in bare feet in the dark Envy < Deffo not envy.

Rats were a fleeting novelty thankfully - I think they must have got the hint and moved on. Still get the occasional mouse mind. I never walk anywhere in the dark now!

soddingkitten · 16/10/2021 12:07

Sodding brought me a bird and 3 wood mice yesterday. First mouse of today was at 9.30 this morning. I’m expecting more.

FlatteredFool · 20/10/2021 13:21

He's given me two live mice this week Confused I feel so blessed Hmm He is not happy that I have let them go and kept him in so he can't go and retrieve them. I'm such an ungrateful adoptive owner.
