How to stop our cat pooing in our garden furniture?

And weeing. Not actually on the furniture but on the covers that we have covering the furniture now we're not using them as much.

We have a litter tray inside and I don't mind him pooing/weeing in the bushes but whyyyyyy on the furniture covers??
It's so gross.

I'ts difficult when they choose a place, they tend to return there. Clean the covers and spray with an enzyme based specialist cleaner that will take the scent away. (Pet shops will know what brand etc) I have used black pepper essential
oil to deter re use, though there are probably other strong smells that do the same job. Good luck.

Citrus can help too - orange/lemon peels scattered on the furniture.
